If we are buying one new kitchen tool this summer then it’s got to be a blender to help us make super smoothies all day long. Here are our four favourite fruit flings – just whack it all in your blender or food processor and enjoy cold on a hot summer day.
1. The Supercharger
Vegan, filling and packed full of superfood, this smoothie will boost your body with iron, vitamins, potassium and kalcium. Not to mention all the yummy sweetness.
- 1 banana
- 1 dl almond milk
- 1tsp spirulina powder
- 1 handful of baby leaf spinach
2. The Posh One
Smoothies are a brilliant, speedy way to jumble up your summer fruits. Try this easy squeazy recipe, and get experimental.
- A handful of berries (any kind)
- 1 banana
- 250ml (half a bottle) Court Lodge Pouring Yogurt
- A glug of Rude Health Drink (optional)
3. Healthy Green Smoothie
Tanya Burr gives us an insight into her morning routine – it involves lots of fruit (and dropping things on the floor) and the result looks yummy enough to get anyone bouncing out of bed in the morning.
- 1 banana
- 2 handfuls of spinach
- 1 stick of celery
- small amount of ginger
- about a quarter of a cucumber
- a handful of chopped up pineapple
- some coconut water (how much you put in is up to you – just keep adding it until you like the consistency of your smoothie.
- some ice to make it nice and cold
4. The Fresh One
Recipe from ICA - this makes two portions

- 1/4 honeydew melon
- 1 cm ginger
- 2 oranges
- 1 tsp runny honey
- mint for decoration
