Halloween is around the corner and so we’re going down a somewhat spooky route for this week’s MidWeekMusic. Starting our musical journey with a chilling video from Kasabian and finishing with the burning heat of Jessie J’s new single, we sure hope that you’ll enjoy the ride…
KASABIAN – STEVIE
It’s a brilliant rock song by the fantastic Kasabian – and it comes with a rather creepy video that sees a lab grown boy be tested by a bunch of scary looking people. Is this a stab at animal testing, at kids staying indoors or at society at large? Something tells us it might be all of it at once. It’s good, either way.
CALVIN HARRIS – SLOW ACID
Now for what might be the creepiest, and yet possibly the most beautiful, thing you’ve seen all day – unless you spent your day looking at silver faced ravers taking hallucinatory drogs. Good tune, this!
ALESSO & TOVE LO – HEROES (WE COULD BE)
Broken winged angels and heroes with superpowers are jailed up in a nasty looking place and it all looks rather grim until Alesso shows up and saves the day but (spoiler alert!) not his own life. All whilst Tove Lo is dancing around in a cellar looking cold. That’s the plot for the video to the song by Swedish power duo Alesso and Tove Lo, a song that’s proper catchy. We like it!
JESSIE J – BURNING UP
Last but not least an admittedly less scary entry by Jessie J who has severely upped the heat on her new album, literally so on this track called Burning Up. What do you think of this new, sexy Jessie J, is she selling out or simply growing up?
